What interested you about becoming a photographer?
– Photography as a métier is a very direct, instantly gratifying way of working creatively. The very moment I take a shot I know if it's a good one or of lesser quality. Capturing beauty can be a heart-stopping moment. A moment that still manages to bring a rush of blood to my head...

Where do you find inspiration to make your photographs?
– Women. Athens, Greece. Some Truffaut films, a few Godard films, and more or less all films by Antonioni. The Internet. Wes Anderson. Really good music. The Côte d'Azur. Girls' necks. Art. Beautiful old book jackets. Warhol. Long legs. Braun design. 1968. Catherine Denéuve. My mobilée above my bed.

What do you most like to photograph?
– Beauty. Women. Or, to put it this way: the very essence of female beauty.

Who are your favorite photographers?
– Guy Bourdin. Helmut Newton. Richard Avedon.
