What interested you about becoming
a photographer?
– It started with a class; I fell in love with capturing light. Now I love photography for its ability to capture humanity in a moment. To capture what you feel but cannot see. A memory, a dream, a thought. To turn nightmares into dreams, and back. Photography to me is about time, but timeless.
Where do you find inspiration to
make your photographs?
– I find it in nostalgia. The wish to relive a lost and treasured moment for eternity.
In the real and unreal, in subjects aware of their loss and that they have no control of their fate. I find it in beauty, style, light, darkness, life, music, people, texture, mythology, metaphors and surrealism.
What do you most like to
photograph?
– My sisters in natural surroundings.
Who are your favorite photographers?
– Sally Mann, Erwin Blumenfeld, Helmut Newton, Deborah Turbeville, Irving Penn, Lillian Bassman, Alex Prager, Autumn de Wilde and Todd Hido.
