What interested you about becoming a photographer?
– the opportunity to create characters, to tell a story, and convey a moment in time with each image. the chance to work with other creative and talented people. the wonderful possibility of my work being seen around the world. all these things have brought me to photography.

Where do you find inspiration to make your photographs?
– I find nature, color, and feelings inspire my work most. I want to create images that bring out an emotional reaction in the viewer. that make them want to become a part of the image themselves.

What do you most like to photograph?
– I enjoy photographing many things but I am most at home with self portraiture. I enjoy bringing a concept through to completion. from initial idea and prepartion to self-shooting and the post process. while it is twice as difficult, it is also twice as rewarding.

Who are your favorite photographers?
– most of my favorite photographers are also self portrait artists. I very much admire the work of Chiara Fersini, Lisa Sieczka, Brooke Shaden, and Anna Leavitt. I also adore the creations of Kirsty Mitchell and the wet plate images of Allan Barnes.
