What interested you about becoming a photographer?
– It's the way to tell a story in your own way. You can document the story happening in front of you or you can create your own. You work with light the same way designers work with fabric. You make the people you photograph re-discover themselves and you constantly re-discover yourself.

Where do you find inspiration to make your photographs?
– Very often it's one visual element that can kick off a whole photo novel. Or a place. Or a person. Or a season. Or any other insignificant thing that can become as big as a photograph.

What do you most like to photograph?
– People and their stories, nature, my perception of places I travel to.

Who are your favorite photographers?
– I admire the classic people photographers Irving Penn, Richard Avedon, Annie Leibovitz, Helmut Newton and Mario Testino. But I have also discovered great new styles with Andrzej Dragan, Jingna Zhang, Romina Ressia, Isabel Martinez and Lee Jeffries.
