What interested you about becoming a photographer?
– That would be my Mother. As she grew older she did not think she was as beautiful. I would tell her I wish she could see herself how I saw her. So one day I grabbed my camera and with a thrift store dress and a little window light I was able to. She found her confidence that day.

Where do you find inspiration to make your photographs?
– Everywhere. The last image I shot I was looking at my Mom's fern thinking "that looks like really cool hair". An hour later it was! I also like the old paintings, sculptures, true art. I also love finding the beauty in destruction.

What do you most like to photograph?
– Women. Everyday women, and find that inner beauty that is usually locked away. Bringing that out and showing it to them makes me happier than anything as a photographer.

Who are your favorite photographers?
– Hard question. I love Lara Jade and Kristian Schuller. I adore how they pose the body. I also love Sue Bryce for her work with the everyday woman and over 50's. Beauty grows as we age we do not lose it. We need to express that more in our work. Annie Leibovitz, who opened all of our minds.
