What interested you about becoming
a photographer?
– I've been creating or performing most of my life. I started out as a ballet dancer and then studied visual arts. The moment I was given my first camera, I found my true love. The one art form that allowed me to combine all of my passions and the ability to tell a story.
Where do you find inspiration to
make your photographs?
– Music has always been my greatest inspiration. Whether just a few simple lyrics or the moods or emotions a piece can produce, it's an endless source of inspiration for me.
What do you most like to
photograph?
– It's not so much about the specific subject to me, but more so, the mood or emotion of something or someone. Whether a leaf or a woman, I most find fascinating the beautiful simplicity and essence we miss in our busy everyday lives.
Who are your favorite photographers?
– Henri Cartier-Bresson, Laszlo Moholy-Nagy, Andre Kertesz, Man Ray, Edward Weston, Richard Avedon, Steven Meisel and Annie Leibovitz.
