What interested you about becoming a photographer?
– The core of my work is portraiture, my passion is for monochrome. Whether it's an RKO radio classic film, an old Pathe Newsreel, or an old copy of 'LIFE', I've always been fascinated by the world seen in black and white and the window into the past it offers.

Where do you find inspiration to make your photographs?
– Much of my work draws heavily on the rich monochrome heritage of classic hollywood. Timeless scenes, beautiful women, and elegantly portrayed. For some these days this is no longer art, but I hope all would agree there is artisanship nonetheless.

What do you most like to photograph?
– Nothing more complicated than ‘A Beautiful Woman, Elegantly Portrayed’. These are simple portraits where the goal is to evoke a sense of vintage glamour, timeless and elegant, so I draw heavily on what we now refer to as ‘hollywood’ styles from the 1930s-50s.

Who are your favorite photographers?
