What interested you about becoming
a photographer?
– Like anyone I had taken snapshots my whole life, but the first time I visited the Fondation Cartier-Bresson in Paris and saw original prints of Mr. Cartier-Bressons work I immediately wanted to become a photographer
Where do you find inspiration to
make your photographs?
– I find myself driven by a need to be "outside" of experience, where I exist separate from my subject.
What do you most like to
photograph?
– My latest obsession is shooting people, be it a portrait or fashion shoot, when I find myself needing an escape from human contact, shooting abandoned spaces is a way I can express my own need to be alone.
Who are your favorite photographers?
– Henri Cartier-Bresson, Robert Capa, Steven Klein, Tim Walker, Solvo Sundsbo, Simon Norfolk, Guy Bourdin, James Nachtwey.
