What interested you about becoming a photographer?
– I used to play around with my mom's old cameras since I was very young. They were magical devices that captured the world inside them, and I was determined to snatch every scene and put it inside. 16 years later, that desire hasn't changed.

Where do you find inspiration to make your photographs?
– Literature and novels mostly. For me, taking a photograph is telling a story within a single frame. Each one has its characters, plot, climax, and other literary elements. I want my audience, big or small, to be engrossed and invested in the story I'm trying to tell.

What do you most like to photograph?
– Candid portraits of friends and city life around me. I think the stories that are worth telling are the ones presented silently and without effort. I really love planning out shoots with themes as well.

Who are your favorite photographers?
– Patrick Demarchelier, Nan Goldin.
