What interested you about becoming a photographer?
– My father gave me his Nikon F3 when I was 17. I just wanted to learn the basics. I thought I'd go to art school, but I fell in love with photography right away. I've been always aware of light, which I think is the spirit of a photograph, and that's what I try to show in my photographs.

Where do you find inspiration to make your photographs?
– I find inspiration in film, painting, art and other photographers. In the light itself, in life around me.

What do you most like to photograph?
– I like photographing people in general. Faces. Mostly I like photographing women, I'm very interested in femininity. And I love fashion.

Who are your favorite photographers?
– Richard Avedon, Cecil Beaton, H. Cartier-Bresson, Lartigue, Saul Leiter, Marianne Breslauer, Lillian Bassman, Lindbergh, Leibovitz, Meisel, Sarah Moon, Roversi, Inez Van Lamswerdee, Lyna Scheynius, Cass Bird... I'm forgetting so many!
