What interested you about becoming a photographer?
– Photography provides us a unique opportunity to showcase a moment in time. I love that with my camera I can capture a moment, and showcase it for a lifetime. Capturing true spirit through a lens is what I love to do, and want to do every moment of every day for the rest of my life.

Where do you find inspiration to make your photographs?
– I look to great photographers, painters, sculptures, and architects. Within my photos I not only showcase my own photography, but I also showcase a unique building whose architecture astounds me, or a painting that has outstanding colors and textures.

What do you most like to photograph?
– I enjoy photographing various colors and textures. Textures can add incredible depth to a work of art, and I love combining a photo with a strong texture just to see what will come of it. Sometimes it is a pleasant surprise to see what happens when two photographs combine into one.

Who are your favorite photographers?
– My favorite photographers include: Arnold Newman, Maggie Taylor, Helmut Newton, Annie Leibovitz, Mike Rosenthal, Dorthea Lange, and Jerry Uelsmann.
