What interested you about becoming a photographer?
– Originally starting off as a fine artist I have also worked in the industry as a professional make up artist for many years. Yet it was my fascination for film and the complexity of human emotions that made me want to pursue photography as an art form.

Where do you find inspiration to make your photographs?
– I am inspired by life and emotions. I love how a single photograph can say so much and stir up so many conflicting emotions, in just one single frame.

What do you most like to photograph?
– Even though I work as a fashion and portrait photographer I love to take candid pictures of people and places. This is what mainly fascinates me, there is such honesty and integrity in that.

Who are your favorite photographers?
– There are countless names I can think of, Jacques Henri Lartigue, Marc Langrange, Paolo Roversi, Mert and Marcus, Eve Arnold, Peter Lindbergh, Helmut Newton, Camilla Akran, Sarah Moon, Dennis Stock, Henri Cartier-Bresson... But the one that stands out most for me is Ellen von Unwerth!
