What interested you about becoming a photographer?
– Being a photographer gave me the ability to capture images of the the world as I see it and share what I saw with other people. It's a way to relate to people and places in a way that I otherwise couldn't.

Where do you find inspiration to make your photographs?
– I'm inspired by the mood and energy between me and a person and/or place. The feelings I get in any given circumstance, whether good or bad, inspire me. I'm intrigued by subtle gestures and texture and the intricacies of emotion and feeling.

What do you most like to photograph?
– I love photographing people. There's nothing more exciting and interesting than working with people, although, I do sometimes point my camera in the other direction.

Who are your favorite photographers?
– Ralph Eugene Meatyard has always been one of my favorite photographers. His pictures hold a bizarre space for the viewer to exist. The beauty of Julia Margaret Cameron's work has always stayed with me. I also admire Bruce Weber and Mario Sorrenti's work.
