What interested you about becoming a photographer?
– I got my start in photography as a sophomore in high school, in southern Texas and continued photography education at Columbia College in Chicago. I first became interested in photography by way of photographing people to serve as a reference when I would paint and draw portraits. Later, when exhibiting art, I would show both my own painted and drawn artwork as well as photographs. Soon, I was receiving more calls for photography then for my paintings and sketches. I've been a test photographer for fashion agencies since 1987, and I currently work with more than 96 agencies around the world.

Where do you find inspiration to make your photographs?
– Fashion, woman, beauty, the city, and life.

What do you most like to photograph?
– Everything.

Who are your favorite photographers?
– I've been influenced by many photographers throughout my life & career, including Stan Malinowski, Man Ray, Helmut Newton, Peter Lindbergh, Richard Avedon, and Marc Hauser. Too many many others to mention.
