What interested you about becoming a photographer?
– Growing up as an only child in a rural setting, imagination was essential, and it played a large part in the development of my career. I began with self-portraits, and my obsession with capturing both the everyday and the whimsical in my own light quickly grew into an unexpected career.

Where do you find inspiration to make your photographs?
– My ideas come from the world around me: light, color, fashion, found objects and music; later to evolve into a story that comes from moments of life, or forms a life of its own. Surreal dreams are brought to life and played out. I want to reveal the story between the lines.

What do you most like to photograph?
– Surreal dreams, interpretations of beautiful music, emotions, my innermost thoughts and feelings.

Who are your favorite photographers?
– Tim Walker, Sally Mann, Irving Penn.
